Character portrait for my friend A. Childs. I wanted something in the feel of Jacques-Louis David's "Napoleon at the Great St. Bernard Pass." I was going through my black and white stage at the time, very inspired by the work of Gustave Dore, and thought it might capture the drama and power of the character. She wants me to colour it but I like it this way :-)
