This was a sort of nature spirit vs man/machine inspired idea.I was inspired by Vachers dense floating rocks, and wanted to create that sort of feel.

It was done for a competition. In hindsight the competition was about stock images and therefore I should have approached it from a totally different angle and just done a photomanipulation instead of a painting with some sparse matte elements, with more focus on the stock images. Instead I used the supplied stock images of a guitar, plant and tree to create textures, for example the frets in the jagged background and the tree turned upside down and drawn all over for the island.
